Aloha! The Department of Taxation and eHawaiiGov have partnered to offer online filing and payment of tax returns. Currently, this web site offers the following transactions:

  • Resident Individual Income Tax Return – Short Form for Tax Year 2003
  • Payment of Delinquent Net Income, General Excise/Use, Transient Accommodations, Rental Motor Vehicle And Tour Vehicle Surcharge, and Employer’s Withholding Taxes
  • Periodic Return Filings for General Excise/Use, Transient Accommodations, and Employer’s Withholding Taxes
  • Annual Return Filings for General Excise/Use and Transient Accommodations
  • Net Income Tax Estimated Tax Vouchers
  • Application for a One-Time Event General Excise Tax License Number
  • Application for Tax Clearance
  • Requests for Extension of Time to File Net Income Tax Returns
  • Requests for Extension of Time to File the Annual Return and Reconciliation For General Excise/Use, Transient Accommodations, Rental Motor Vehicle And Tour Vehicle Surcharge, and Employer’s Withholding Taxes.

    We hope you will find filing and paying through the Internet easy and convenient; you will be prompted step-by-step through the process. The fees are as follows:

  • A minimal fee of $2.50 per transaction if you make an online payment using an electronic check.
  • If you choose to pay using a credit card, the credit card processing fee will be passed on to you.
  • If no payment is necessary, there is no fee.

    • Until you “authorize” the payment, you will still have the opportunity to cancel the payment transaction.
